Voice Lessons

Do you love to sing??? Whether you're a beginner or have had previous training, this is the place for you.

My Singing Philosophy: I have been trained classically and therefore, that is my foundation of teaching. I feel that it is important for a singer to be well rounded in many types of song literature and with classical training, one will have a strong foundation to sing any style. Some people are turned away by the term "classical," but don't let that scare you. I teach a healthy way of singing for several genres, such as opera, art songs, classic musical theater, folk songs, choral singing, and more.

My Teaching Experience: During my time at the University of Kansas, while working on my Master's degree in Opera Performance, I was fortunate to have a graduate teaching assistantship for two years. This teaching assistantship gave me the opportunity to teach voice lessons to undergraduate music majors and non-music majors. I hadn't had a ton of experience teaching until this opportunity and I really learned a lot about myself and how rewarding it can be to see students excel in their singing. Since my time in graduate school, I have maintained a small private voice studio at my home.

First Lesson FREE: If you're unsure about studying voice lessons with me, come for a free 30-minute trial lesson. E-mail me at: natalie.easter04@hotmail.com to set up a time.

My Lesson Rates:

$20 - 30 minutes (recommended for ages 8-12)

$30 - 45 minutes

$40 - 1 hour

Payment for lessons can be made by cash, check, and/or Venmo.

Students may pay for each lesson as they go or monthly. In the case of paying monthly, I will send a billing statement through e-mail for the total due that month.

*If your monthly bill is not paid by the 15th of the following month, you will incur a $10 late fee.

Lesson Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel a lesson, please let me know 24 hours ahead of time. If you don't give me 24 hours advance, you will still be charged for your lesson. If I don't have a minimum of 24 hours notice, it is difficult for me to use the lesson time for something more productive. The more notice you can provide, the more effectively I can use your lesson time. I understand that there can be unforeseen circumstances and if that is ever the case, please let me know and we will work something out. With adequate notice I am happy to work out a time for a make-up lesson.

*If you are ill, please let me know at least 24 hours ahead of time and we'll discuss whether or not it's a good idea to have you come for your lesson. In most cases, I would rather you stay home, rest, and feel better.

Referral Perks: In an effort to expand my voice studio, please refer your friends or anyone you know who is interested in taking voice lessons. For every referral that takes at least one lesson from me, not including the trial lesson, I will give you one half-priced voice lesson.
